On behalf of the Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS) I invite you to join us for
the 13th Annual PAOS Conference Oct 22-26, 2012 at the Westin Resort & Spa Hilton Head
Island, SC. Make plans now to join colleagues and friends and enjoy the hospitality the south
is known for. October is the perfect time to visit Hilton Head and with warm temperatures, a
beachside venue, and countless outdoor activities, this is a conference you won’t want to miss.

Each year our conference has grown and unfortunately we could no longer stay with Embassy
Suites due to our size. The Westin Resort & Spa Hilton Head Island was chosen for its history
of first class service and amenities for conference attendees and vacationers alike. In addition to excellent rooms rates, PAOS has also negotiated discounted golf, spa treatments, bicycle rentals, and shuttle service to and from Savannah/Hilton Head Airport.

Due to the extremely positive feedback from the 2011 PA attendees, the KZA coding/billing workshop will be held on Monday, Oct 22, 2012.

As healthcare changes, we need to know how to appropriately code our work to optimize reimbursement for our orthopaedic care.

PAOS is pleased to announce a coding/reimbursement workshop on Monday, August 15, 2011, provided by Mary LeGrand,RN, MA, CCS-P, CPC, from KZA. Mary is a nationally known coding and reimbursement expert and is an instructor for KZA's national coding and reimbursement workshop series, sponsored by the the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She is a regular featured speaker and consultant nationally for specialty societies, state societies, and academic centers. Mary publishes regularly on coding and documentation related issues.

** This program is has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 30 hours (26 hours main conference and 4 hours for optional coding workshop) of AAPA Category I CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician Assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity (July 6, 2011). The main conference course is also approved for 24 CEUs from the Board of Certification.
